A really good visit to Des and Key Kelly’s Orchard on Saturday, they have created a wonderful orchard in a field at the back of Torbreck woods, Inverness over the past 12 years. With over a hundred varieties of apple, along with plums, cherries, gages, and pears. Des took us on a tour and plenty of advice on successful apple tree growing going into everything from: propagation, establishment, and the machinery involved in the pressing and juicing. It was great at last to meet fellow members of Knocknagael face to face.

Next stop Nairn Allotments Orchard Project on Saturday 25th September at Sandown Allotments, Nairn.
